Evening Washington D.C. Tours

We all know the grandeur of Washington’s monuments and memorials during the daylight hours is stunning. But have you ever seen D.C.’s most classic attractions in the evening? Your guide will share classic stories and fun facts about each location, and you will get to experience them all as the sun sets across the Potomac River.

First-time visitors to Washington, DC, are always taken back by the amount of open space and greenery on the National Mall. What many visitors don’t realize is that the Nation’s Capital can be just as beautiful, if not more beautiful, at night.

All of the monuments and memorials are open 24/7, and of course, because they are illuminated, they are possibly even more impressive at night than in the daytime. Sites like the White House and the U.S. Capitol, although closed to visitors in the evening, are equally impressive buildings at night.

You can also discover the beauty of Washington, D.C., its Capitol, monuments, museums, and iconic historical landmarks by customizing your tour with a professional guide and a luxury vehicle.

Washington, D.C., is home to many conventions week in and week out, and our Monumental Moonlight Tour is by far the most popular tour with those attendees.  After a conference, this is truly the best way to see the city in an organized fashion with a guide leading the way, guiding you on and off the bus, allowing you to see the sites up close and personal.

Another advantage of doing an evening tour is that it allows you to focus your daytime touring on sites that are only available during the day, such as Arlington National Cemetery and any of the 20 Smithsonian Institution buildings, including the Natural History Museum, the Air and Space Museum and the American History Museum among others.

Our summers can be both hot and humid.  Evening tours would allow you to tour and escape the daytime heat and humidity as you travel from site to site in one of our air-conditioned vehicles.

The most underrated site we visit that visitors would rate the most beautiful at night is the Korean War Memorial. It’s hard to explain in words, but at night, you feel as if you are witnessing the 19 soldiers live and in person as they are on the battlefield.  Rainy or steamy days make it even more eerily realistic.
